Between March 13–15, our student teams from the entrepreneurship profile took part in the international competition for student companies, Junior Achievement Austria – Marketplace Vienna, held in Vienna, Austria.
The event is part of the Junior Achievement program and represents an international trade fair for student companies, where students from across Europe present, test, and sell their products and services in a real market environment. Participants develop skills in entrepreneurship, presentation, and sales while working in conditions that closely resemble the real business world.
During the competition, dozens of student companies from different countries showcase innovative solutions, and their projects are evaluated by an expert jury based on criteria such as innovation, sustainability, marketing, presentation, and business potential.
🌿 Scenthea Team
The Scenthea Team (Katrin Todorova, Kristina Chervenyakova, Darina Krasteva, Silvia Kralevska) presented their innovative product – an environmentally sustainable roll-on perfume with a specially developed formula.
Their solution is inspired by the principles of the circular economy and combines:
- a bio-cosmetic gel with fragrance
- a formula that remains on the surface of the skin without penetrating the body
- natural, food-grade ingredients
The product proves that good design and care for health can go hand in hand with responsibility toward nature.
Key contributions to the realization of the idea were made by:
- the team of the chemical laboratory at Tech Park Sofia
- the mentorship of Gergana Kuzmanova
- the support of the company Wooden Spoon
During the exhibition, the team managed to make their first sales and received their first partnership proposal from the founder of the Austrian perfumery company “Mozaick Fragrances” – we wish them continued success!
💧 RainReborn Team
The RainReborn Team (Boris Stoyanov, Aleksandar Isakov, Viktor Simeonov, Daria Tancheva, and Iva Peychinova) presented their AI system for intelligent rainwater management.
Their solution:
- collects and filters rainwater
- uses sensors for optimal irrigation
- activates watering only when necessary
- supports sustainable resource use
The system is applicable for both households and small farms, offering a practical solution for water conservation and a more sustainable lifestyle. The team developed their prototypes independently, and the project attracted significant attention during the exhibition!
🚀 Successful Performance and Next Steps
The teams, led by Mr. Deyan Doykov, successfully presented their ideas in an international environment and are ready to continue their participation in upcoming competitions in Bulgaria and across Europe. RainReborn is about to take on another international challenge—participation in a competition in Riga! We wish them success and are proud that this is yet another example of the sustainable development of the entrepreneurial spirit in our school.
