* Students from Prof. Ivan Apostolov Private English Language Secondary School achieved outstanding success at the International Student Company Festival Riga, Latvia 2026 – one of the most prestigious international competitions for student companies in Europe.
In this year’s edition, 138 teams from various European countries participated, presenting their business ideas through a trade fair, pitching sessions before an international jury, and a series of competitive formats focused on entrepreneurial skills, innovation, and real-world applicability of their projects.
Amid such strong competition, the students from CHEG “Prof. Ivan Apostolov” won 2 out of a total of 6 awards, which is a significant recognition of their work and preparation.

RainReborn – an innovative system for collecting and storing rainwater, using artificial intelligence to automatically manage irrigation during dry periods and optimize water resources.

ReGenCycle – an intelligent system for accelerated composting that uses AI to optimize the biodegradation process and support more efficient management of organic waste.

In addition to the awarded projects, the school was достойно represented by three more student companies, whom we would also like to congratulate:
- Zero Loop – an app aimed at reducing waste through partnerships with restaurants and incentives for using personal containers.

Team: Nevelina L. Stoyanova, Kaloyan N. Neshev, Beren I. Hyusein, Nia Blazej Nietrasta - ScoutVerse – a platform for discovering sports talent, connecting young athletes with scouts, teams, and organizations.

Participation in the festival is part of the school’s long-standing collaboration with JA Bulgaria, which provides students with opportunities to develop practical entrepreneurial skills, teamwork, and presentation abilities in an international environment.
We would like to express our gratitude to JA Bulgaria for their consistent support over the years, as well as to JA Latvia for the excellent organization of the event at an exceptionally high level.
The next stages in the competition cycle are ahead – a regional competition in Sofia, participation in the virtual European competition GEN-E, and a national final for the qualified teams.
